 • Context: 2025 is considered the last official production year for new Yamaha-branded snowmobiles. However, discussions and some listings indicate that similar models (like the S-TX GT) may be available for 2026, often featuring the 200hp Yamaha engine.

 • Features: Known for utilizing Electronic Power Steering (EPS) and Fox Intelligent Quick Shift (iQS) shocks. 

Sidewinder Model Legacy:

The Sidewinder line is renowned for its high-performance, turbocharged 4-stroke engine. The 2025 "Final Edition" models include the SRX LE, designed to be the last new snowmobile produced by Yamaha, with serial number 998 auctioned off.

Yamaha is largely exiting the snowmobile market after the 2025 model year due to market challenges, while in Europe, the iconic R1 sportbike is becoming track-only from 2025 due to Euro5+ emissions, following the path of the discontinued R6; however, they continue to make other motorcycles, ATVs like the Banshee (discontinued earlier), and industrial robots, focusing on core markets. 

Major Exits & Changes

• Snowmobiles: Yamaha announced in June 2023 they would stop snowmobile production, with the 2025 models being the last for North America, citing difficulty in maintaining a sustainable business in a competitive market.

• Yamaha R1 (Europe): Starting in 2025, the R1 will only be available in Europe as a track-only model to meet stricter emission standards, similar to what happened with the R6. 

Other Notable Discontinuations

• Yamaha R6: This supersport bike was discontinued for road use after the 2020 model year due to Euro5 compliance.

• Yamaha Banshee 350: This popular ATV was produced until 2012 in some markets.

In essence, Yamaha is streamlining its focus, withdrawing from less profitable segments like snowmobiles and adapting specific high-performance models (R1) to strict regulations, while maintaining strong offerings in other core powersports and industrial automation areas.

Our equvilants at $7,500 - $15,000 are over $25,000 in 2025 end user IMSRP plus heightened inflated part & maintenance at Yamaha 

We are doing $3000-$15000 with few hitting $20,000 before options for spec efforts (race or Aftermarket update builds)
